After Effects student work
The prompt was to take two antonyms and create a short motion graphic. I feel like you can see me falling in love with After Effects as I made this little video, which was my first project with the software.
It was my goal to create a simple animation that would be like the motion graphics I see regularly on informative and educational YouTube videos, and I was really pleased with the result. I decided a record player and iPod would make the best, most obvious visual representations of the respective words. Just for aesthetics, I went with the classic, older generation iPod look. I also tried to go with a very 70's color palette for the analog visuals, whereas the colors for the digital visuals are directly lifted from the famous Apple silhouette ad campaign for the iPod.
